Patience Is A Virtue!!!

Dear Friends,

So, while some friends of mine and myself were waiting patiently in the parking lot for the next round of buses to pull-up to take us to the quad.

What do we hear??? A very pleasant fan, who takes it upon himself, to tell everyone that if you are not happy with this bus system then Monday Morning you can go to so and so website and file a complaint.

Why??? In these days does it seem like to ya'll that a lot more people want to file a complaint or write a nasty e-mail if it doesn't go their way. If it is not there way it is the highway. Why is that??? I certainly don't understand it and it definitely should not be that way.

I definitely respect peoples opinions but there is definitely a right and wrong way with going about with presenting it in the right manner.

Anyways, I thought the buses did an exceptional job with getting all fans safetly to and from the quad and all parking decks. Even though we may have had to wait a few minutes.

Thank you for your time and for reading please send me any stories that you may have with working with the public. Can't wait to hear from you!!!

Thank you again,

Jennifer :)

The Chicken Farm

Dear Friends,

One of my friends sent me a story that I am so sorry she had to endure this, but now that time has past we can look back on this situation and laugh. Once, I heard this story I had to post it for everyone to read. Please Read Below:

One of my favorite stories. I use that word loosely- happened when I worked for a nonprofit in Miss. I had a long standing appointment with one of my volunteers in her hometown, which was about 45-1hr away from the office. When I arrived in the town, I called to get specific directions on where to meet her (as she instructed me to do because I was not familiar with the area). She never answered. So I called again, and again, and again. Still with no answer. Frustrated and tired, I decided to head back to the office. When I was almost back, she called and said she was sorry she could not meet me because she had to go out to the chicken farm and feed her chickens!?!?! Really????

Thank you for sharing your stories. Please send them my way. I am having so much fun reading them and sending them. Don't forget I want the good, the bad, and the ugly. Hope to hear from you soon.

Jennifer :)

Just Wanted Some Yogurt

O.K!!! So, there is a new hot spot around town and it has become a hit with all of the locals. Anyways, it has only been open for a few weeks now. So, I have decided to get the strength to try-out this new hangout with one of my closest friends. However, While we are there while we are enjoying our very healthy cups of yogurt except for the occassional brownie. We definitely got more than we bargained for. There is a customer that walks-in and seems pretty normal and just wanted to ask a basic question, "Do ya'll have a gift certificate?" Well, pretty much after hearing, "No, Sir we have not gotten them in yet." Any normal person would have gotten the picture and said, "Thank you for your time and turned around and headed out of the store and thought of another way to give a gift card to whomever. "

This character, however, did the exact opposite and was giving the staff the hardest time on why they do not have gift certificates and could I please speak with a manager. Seriously, this store just opened and they still are getting some of the kinks out of the system. If this is your biggest worry you are doing pretty good for yourself, but come on right a check to the person and tell them that it is for yogurt. Seriously!!!

Anyways, thank you for your time and if you work with the public. I want to hear about it. Send me your stories. So, I can post them. I want the good, the bad, and the ugly. Looking forward to hearing your stories. Hope you enjoy sending them as I do posting them. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,

Jennifer :)

Anyways, seriously

Have You Ever Worked With The Public???

It is such an emotional rollercoaster working with the public. You have great days were every customer loves you and then you have those days were it seems like every customer hates you.

Well, this blog is going to tell the stories of people working with the public in every different type of field or situation. It doesn't matter if you are in dentistry, physician, lifeguarding, car sales, retail, teaching, stocks, and etc. if you work with the public. I want to hear about it and post the stories that you tell me. I think there are so many great stories out there that will bring you laughter, tears, and a whirlwind of emotions to the table.

I don't want any company names or any peoples names because I don't want anyone to be embarrassed or humiliated in any way. I just want to know what field you are in. Looking forward to hearing many of stories.

Thank you,

Jennifer
